Guidelines and Templates - Giveaways

This document is intended to clarify the usage of the "Giveaways" forum at nsane.forums and to give guidance to our members of the preferred format of any topics. This document will be updated. It is your responsibility to be 'up to date' with its content. These guidelines are in addition to and not instead of the Guidelines.

• General Guidelines:
  • Members should include the giveaway type i.e. (90 Day License) or (Free Paid App), after the topic title;
  • Non Microsoft Windows giveaways should be tagged as such, i.e. [Mac], [Linux], [Android], [iOS], followed by the topic title.
  • Search before posting. Please ensure your giveaway hasn't been already posted;
  • Test your giveaway item before posting, make sure it is working as stated.
  • A "contest" (i.e. not everyone can access the promotion) is not considered a giveaway and shouldn't be posted in this forum.
  • Members should use the template shown below. By using a standard format, we make the community easier to access.
• Post Requirements
  • We require all posts to include the following information at a minimum:
  • Application name and giveaway type;
  • A description of the software (you can usually just copy and paste this description from the developer's homepage);
  • A link to the developer's homepage;
  • A Download or registration link.

• The following information is also preferred to be included in any update:
• A screenshot of the software item during usage (this could be a link to a set of screenshots on the software's homepage);
• Your comments about the software and its benefits when compared to similar products.

Other Information

 

• If an item has already been posted or is expired, please let the staff know via the 'Report' button and it will be dealt with accordingly;
• When a link doesn't work (for you), please make a post in the topic explaining your issue;
• Any questions should be directed to the site Staff.
