shought
Hello,How is using a credit card on the internet safe ? What measures are taken by safe certified sites to make it safe ? Wouldn't a simple keylogger be all is needed to breach that security ?If i'm correct you have to use some kind of machine in which you put your credit card and that will generate a number which you have to enter on the site of the bank? That number will be different every time you use the machine. I guess you have to have the credit card itself to get this number and taking into account it changes every time a keylogger won't do the job. We have such a machine here and my mom uses it for online banking.Or aren't you talking about online banking?
Hitman6267
I'm talking about using a credit card online to purchase things. I think the machine ur talking about is only used for online banking for the bank ur mother uses.
dock98
I'm talking about using a credit card online to purchase things. I think the machine ur talking about is only used for online banking for the bank ur mother uses.i have purchased various things on the internet and also paid bills.so far it has been more secure than purchasing from a store.had card number stolen twice.i have been doing this for about 8 years.make sure you purchase from a reputable site.using google checkout or paypal has a lot of advantages since they are the only ones who have your credit card info.if you purchase on line use a credit card, not a debit.debit cards do not have the same guarantee protection.good luck. They are easily acquired by browsing the Internet or can be purchased at a modest price. Anti-keyloggers are ineffective. The best that can be done to prevent key logging is to adopt good security practices and to perform physical checks for hardware keyloggers.more info
