Zap316
I know you guys work hard, on this site and all that it offers. In my Opinion it is one of the best sites on the internet. However i find patches and serials on Pirate bay for Software listed here (Driver Genius and True Image 2012) do virus checkers via your guys link to make sure they are not infected. Yet they are not updated on the software listings page. I follow all the steps share codes everything, I just wanna help you guys and other people. Because like most I get frustrated when Driver Genius serial get blacklisted every 10 days. When you update the database. Whats going on?

All that happens is the thread gets deleted with no understanding as to why. When i did get one from Staff they are like be careful about what you post it could get us in trouble. and I'm like 90 percent of the site is illegal so LOL I don't get it. Nemesis
hey zap, some patches come from our own members as well so out of respect for them, and to continue our healthy member driven site, we will wait for them to create their own stuff to post rather than rip off the scene groups and become one of many other sites on the internet.if it really bothers you, then go somewhere else and hey, maybe pick up a virus while your at it. Administrator DKT27 Posted October 2, 2011 Administrator Share Posted October 2, 2011 Cool down guys. Both positive and negative feedbacks are welcomed.First of all, thanks for the suggestions. :)I'll like to note however, we here have good staff and members who are quite active in testing and posting working fixes (not to forget the coders working on them). Whenever a fix is not frontpaged, it's either not working or causing problems. Like Acronis one mentioned above. I'm not quite sure about Driver Genius but I heard there are problems there too.So in the end, if there are working fixes (serials, cracks, patches, etc.), it will be frontpaged for sure. If not, you are always free to suggest them/post them on the relevant threads. :)

We are member driven here like you say and we all are members. I just think its funny that if i post a serial and stuff and they delete my thread and staff says its illegal to post that stuff, then the whole site is illegal when you think about it. avmad
I think that serials such as the Driver Genius one, that has been reported as not working many times here should be removed. If a working one appears it can be posted, because it is a pain for people who try it. (As seems the case for the starter of this thread) Isn't it better to just remove it rather than leave an old outdated one up? I don't mean fixes that still work on older versions with links to the older software as well, I think that's great and very glad those posts remain. shought
@Rock Isn't it obvious that people will defend those who they appreciate?-----I always say that everything can be improved, but people can only do their best and for some this isn't enough. You say your posts or topics were deleted?I'm sure if you followed the rules and posted in the proper forum I'm sure the staff will take a look at it ;)

Rock Lee
@Rock Isn't it obvious that people will defend those who they appreciate?Defending them like they are is very sophomoric. There's absolutely nothing wrong with telling someone that they could do something better. And quite frankly, that "this is how we are, like it or get out" attitude is exactly what's holding Nsane back. There's so much potential here but this kind of mentality from the community will always hinder progress. Never settle for good enough.Appreciating isn't only supporting, it's pointing out flaws as well. Criticism is only negative if you take it that way... shought
No, defending people like they are is providing them with an incentive to do what they do at the best of their capabilities, continuously pointing out that everything can be better will do the opposite, although there is obviously a 'healthy' in-between.Believe it or not but not everyone handles criticism well and the mentality you would like to advocate is more likely to destroy this community than to do it any good.Anyhow this discussion is getting away from the main topic; some fixes are outdated (according to the poster). To get us back on track: this is a community and the staff are mainly there to guide it in the right direction, if you have an updated fix please share it with the users and ask for feedback. If you think your post was overlooked and there is still an outdated fix on the frontpage, please make use of the report button (on your own post) or make a topic in the Site / Forum Feedback to inform us about this. As much as our users rely on our staff to provide the best quality the staff relies on the users to provide an 'extended range of sight'.@ZapDon't let some of the reactions fool you, we really do appreciate any insights, positive or negative ;) I will see to it that we will publish a guide on how to inform the staff of an updated fix (the right way, even if we miss it), do let me know if you have any other suggestions (either in public or by PM) :)Also there were reasons why the 'fixes' (both serials) you provided weren't added to the frontpage, these are both explained in the appropriate topics (in which your other account made posts, do note that we do not allow two accounts for the same person, but I think you were already informed of this matter). I do not think it is fair for you to come here in good faith (sharing fixes), but later you try to 'fool' us with a duplicate account. :(

Well if that's how you want to run your community that's you. This isn't about everyone, this is about the staff. You're right in this aspect though, none of you receive criticism well. You're very stubborn :P I don't see how pointing out what you could improve on is destructive. I've ran communities before & I love the way I ran them - by the people and for the people. I'm not stuck in my ways because that's all I know. If a member has an idea that is for the better of everyone (like this) then I implement it, no second thoughts about it. Sadly that's not the way it works here. It's like pulling teeth sometimes. You guys don't like change at all haha. From what I see, Nsane has a long way to go before it can reach its zenith. For that to happen though there needs to be more open minded discussion...
shought
Really why do you insist on discussing this in this topic even after I made it clear that we were going off-topic?If you want to discuss this please create a separate topic or send me (or any other staff member of your choosing) a PM, I'd be happy to answer your questions but only within the boundaries of a topic that is concerned with what we are discussing. It's great to see you're concerned with nsane though :)

Im starting to think you care more about some software then you do about others and if thats the case why do you even post it. I just think its hilarious that people here post their own stuff Soild Releases and they be ingore by staff. But you say this community is built by its members. I dont get it sounds a little hypocritical to me.very quiet in here...
toyo
Your observations are taken into account, and we do update the site daily, which takes us many hours, not to mention fighting spam and other duties. You can post your fixes in the application threads. We will look at them and update as necessary and as time allows us - try to understand that this site is maintained by a very small team of individuals that are united in their love for sharing, and do not profit anything from their work. Not every fix will see the frontpage though. Only what the staff appreciates that is stable enough after testing/receiving positive feedback from the members will be considered. Internal releases have priority, so do scene releases. If there are more than a few releases available, just one or two will be frontpaged, however we encourage you, the members, to post alternatives in the application threads on the News subforum.Do not forget to follow the sharecode rules when posting fixes!EDIT: Other considerations I forgot about: we don't really like it when applications are messed with (ie. cracks and patches and eveything that modifies the original files), so a keygen, a license/key file will always have priority on the frontpage ;) That doesn't mean we don't understand that sometimes, modifying the application itself is the only way. shought
So, Zap, my question to you would be, what would you suggest?I mean there must be a way to improve the current system, there always is, but we'll need to find it before it can be implemented. If you have some working fixes for programs that have outdated fixes please inform us of them and I'm sure the staff will make sure the working fixes will be uploaded to the proxy as soon as possible. Zap316
I just wanna Thank you Sought! for willing to work with me on this. If you like I would be happy to post all the cracks and serials I have found, so you can test them and see if they are to your liking. Here is just a run down of how I test my patches and serials.1. I find them whether it is links on you tube videos with share codes or TPB demionid, whatever.2. I run them for virus via your guys link on the forums for infected cracks ( this tool is very handy)3. I run Virtual Box to see how the crack or serial works with my system. ( I test using three different operating systems XP 32bit, Vista 32bit, Win 7 64bit)4. If all that checks out I do a backup on my system then install the new piece of software. There is more to it then that in some cases but this works for me. I just wanna help you folks, so that's why I started to share my info.
jalaffa
I do believe that the examples given in the first post for not being updated ain't long lasting ones fixes (Driver Genius and True Image 2012). I could be wrong. CORE has not released a fix for Avast.
