Rainbowtide
aloha allnew to this forum - my search did not give me any results - so pls bear with me if this subject has already been treaded elsewhere. thanks!i had eset nod32 installed on a winxp x86 sp3, and it was running/updating (with mara's kit) well until recently when i got a serious rootkit problem (had eset deactivated for some purposes).the service still came up and i had a green icon.but then i discovered that they option to disable/enable were grayed out and when opening the gui i got an empty frame.while trying to uninstall i got the message: not sufficient rights - that was the rootkit issue. we solved that differently.i have no way to repair/uninstall nor install eset (downloaded the newest version from nsane.it will start and end by telling me ' the installer has encountered an exepected error installing this package. may indicate a prob with this package (i tried with direct link and trial installer - same issue).and i am always getting the error code 2753suggestions anybody? thank you for your time and helpalohaRT
