tysroby
The "healthy" treat — popular in the Middle East — is touted as being lower in fat.But at £4 a scoop the dessert's price could give consumers here the hump. The camel ice cream will go on sale next month at a London food show.It is the brainchild of Brit firm Ginger's Comfort Emporium, which already sells "experimental" flavours of standard ice cream. The pioneering company recently came up with an Eccles cake variety. Alexa Perrin, organiser of next month's show called the Experimental Food Society Spectacular, said yesterday: "Camel milk is very creamy but it has a light texture."You can see from how 'superfoods' have taken off in Britain that many people want to buy products that are unusual and have been shown to be very good for the body."It contains ten times more iron than ice cream from cows' milk and five times the level of B vitamins, which are vital for healthy growth. The milk will be sourced from Europe's only camel dairy — in Holland.Source: The Sun
Ambrocious
This doesn't surprise me really. Anyone ever here had goats milk before? It's a lot healthier to drink than cows milk and it is easier for human infants to digest. Cows were only chosen for the fact that they are huge and put out A LOT more milk than any other current land animal. If there was a larger and more tame animal than a cow that produced milk, you bet we would be using it instead.
avmad
The last ice cream sold was breast milk, so camel doesn't surprise me.

Ambrocious
Actually, I think human beast milk would be the healthiest thing to drink (being non perverted here). If large populations of woman (healthy women) all got paid to actually lactate and produce a lot of milk for people to drink, this to me makes a lot of sense and I'm truly not trying to be a pervert either. I mean, have you ever thought about it....we drink liquid from the underside of wild animals. How much more "civil" and natural would it be to have human breast milk for sale in mass quantity? How much more "civil" and natural would it be to have human breast milk for sale in mass quantity? The question is, could they make that much milk as opposed to cows who are born and raised with the sole purpose of being a 24/7 milk machine? Plus they probably make more milk than multiple people would.Staff Note: Posts merged. ;)
