Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is getting its own showcase, where we will probably get a cinematic trailer, gameplay, and a release date.

Last month, Ubisoft confirmed three years of rumors and leaks by announcing that the Assassin's Creed: Black Flag remake is real and that it is currently working on the project. While that confirmation didn't have any details about the remake, Ubisoft is readying an entire presentation to reveal the game officially to the masses.

The Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced: Worldwide Reveal Showcase is kicking off on April 23 at 9AM PDT / 4PM UTC / 6PM CEST. "The iconic solo pirate adventure returns," says the description of the stream's YouTube premiere link that's already active.

Ubisoft is even playing into all the leaks the remake project has had in its years in development. The teaser video for the showcase called this "Gaming's Worst Kept Secret," while the attached social media post said, "We know you know, but how about we tell you some more now."

As for what fans will get to see, there may be a cinematic trailer, as with all major Assassin's Creed releases, a release date, as well as a long look at all the gameplay systems. The original Black Flag's ocean exploration and ship combat elements have been fan favorites after all. Rumors say that while the piracy and assassin aspects will be returning, the modern-era-set missions and plotlines have been removed from the remake. At the same time, despite previous reports, this is said to be an action-adventure game just like the original, without going the RPG route like modern Assassin's Creed experiences like Valhalla or Shadows.

Ubisoft is also working on the next mainline Assassin's Creed game just as the Shadows content roadmap comes to an end. While a release window and a proper name are yet to be attached to it, Assassin's Creed Codename Hexe is set to land next with a focus on a darker, narrative-driven experience set during the witch trials. However, the project's creative director, Clint Hocking, recently left Ubisoft.
