With operational overhead projected to hit $14 billion by 2026, OpenAI is looking to its infrastructure partners for a massive injection of funds.
Microsoft appears set to be part of the next big wave of investment in OpenAI. According to The Information, Microsoft is in discussions to invest less than $10 billion in the well-known AI company.
Microsoft's investment would be part of a funding round that will potentially include NVIDIA investing up to $20 billion and Amazon investing $10 billion or more.

The exact figures of the deal are unknown as well, even when accounting for phrasing such as "up to" and "less than." The Information's headline states that NVIDIA , Microsoft, and Amazon are in talks to invest up to $60 billion in OpenAI.
A report by The Financial Times states that OpenAI is in talks to raise $40 billion from investments from NVIDIA, Amazon, and Microsoft.
