Grand Theft Auto VI has probably been on the minds of every gamer since its official trailer reveal in 2023. The game had a 2025 release window attached to it back then. Now with two delays behind it, everyone is waiting to see if Take-Two and Rockstar will keep holding on to the latest plans. At least for now, it looks like that's the case, as the publisher has confirmed a marketing push will begin for the highly anticipated action game in the summer of 2026.

The news comes from Take-Two's latest earnings results, where the company, as it has done in previous years, said it's committed to the current release date: November 19, 2026.

"Our execution throughout Fiscal 2026 has been extraordinary, and we are highly confident as we approach Fiscal 2027 – which promises to be groundbreaking for Take-Two and the entire entertainment industry – led by the November 19th release of Grand Theft Auto VI with Rockstar’s launch marketing set to begin this Summer,' said the company (via IGN).

Only two trailers have landed for the game so far, showing off the new double protagonists and the returning setting, Vice City. Considering the comments, it doesn't look like fresh trailers and information about the title will be landing any time soon.

The Take-Two CEO, Strauss Zelnick, also addressed a rumor going around that stated Grand Theft Auto VI won't have a physical edition at launch, with it only being a digital release. He directly denied these reports, saying, "That's not the plan."

Meanwhile, the company confirmed that Grand Theft Auto V has now sold over 225 million copies, with it still moving a lot of units thanks to continued GTA Online support.

Grand Theft Auto VI is so far confirmed for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 consoles, with it slated to launch on November 19, 2026. Unfortunately, there's still no word on a release window for the PC platform or other consoles like the Nintendo Switch 2.
