Recorder sent SMS to doc who returned to Turin to fit pacemaker
(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 10 - A 13-year-old girl was saved by telemedicine after suffering a cardiac arrest in her home in Turin at Ferragosto, it emerged Sunday.
Her specialist had implanted a loop recorder which alerted her cardiologist when she had the attack and he returned from outside town to Turin's Regina Margherita Hospital where he fitted her with a life-saving pacemaker.
The girl was discharged from the cardiology ward and is now in good condition back at home, sources said. (ANSA).
