The rumors turned out to be true, and Forza Horizon 6 is now official. At Tokyo Game Show 2025, Microsoft and Playground Games revealed the game's teaser, which shows the franchise's next location: the long-rumored and highly anticipated Japan.

Forza Horizon 6 currently has no specific release date, and full details remain unknown. What is known is that the game will be released first on PC and Xbox Series X|S. Game Pass subscribers will also get to play the game on day one. As for PlayStation, Playground Games says it is working with Turn 10 Studios on bringing Forza Horizon 6 to the Japanese console post-launch. This will leave Forza Horizon 5 the only Forza game on PlayStation 5 for some time.

Unfortunately, a short teaser is currently all we have. Fans of the franchise will have to wait a little longer, as Playground Games plans to release more details about the game in 2026:

In Forza Horizon 6, you will get to discover a scenic and breathtaking Japan, where you will build up your racing status to become a Legend at the Horizon Festival.

As you already know, Japan has been one of the most iconic and requested locations by the Forza Horizon community. We are so excited for you to experience it, and we can't wait to share more details on Forza Horizon 6 early next year. Stay tuned!

The Forza Horizon series was conceived in the late days of the Xbox 360 generation. The first title was set in Colorado, while the second installment moved to Europe. Forza Horizon 3 brought the festival to Australia and became the first Forza Horizon game available on PC. After that, Playground Games released Forza Horizon 4 with its UK setting, and Forza Horizon 5 brought the game to Mexico. Now, it is time for Forza Horizon 6 in Japan.
