With the games now fully out on XBOX and PC, Playground Games reveals upcoming fixes and a PlayStation 5 release.

    Forza Horizon 6

In my Forza Horizon 6 review, I noticed that despite plenty of meaningful improvements and a stunning map, the game still has some issues in its core mechanic: racing. AI drivatars exhibit unfair, often openly moronic behavior, ruining the fun for gamers. Some also complain that higher difficulty levels become simply impossible to race. In a newly published blog post on the official website, Playground Games revealed that improvements for drivatars and other parts of the game are on their way.

In addition to refining drivatar balance, Playground Games is working on addressing framerate issues on PCs with AMD GPUs, so look out for new updates that bring optimizations and better performance. Audio crackling is another thing that needs fixing on PC, in addition to crashes and various loading errors.

Until developers release new bug-fixing updates, players can improve their Forza Horizon 6 experience by installing one of the minimum supported drivers from AMD, NVIDIA, and Intel. However, developers also clarified that Forza Horizon 6 will not work on PCs with certain GPUs. While the game can run on Pascal-based NVIDIA graphics cards (GTX 10 Series), a smooth experience is not guaranteed, as the game targets Turing (RTX 20 and GTX 16 Series) and newer generations. Things are worse for those with AMD's Polaris or Vega GPUs: Forza Horizon 6 does not support these graphics cards and won't work with them, as they are "below the minimum supported specification."

Besides fixes and optimizations, Playground Games is busy preparing new content. The Italian Passion Car Pack will be available for Premium players, plus new seasonal playlists will bring new cars and other content for free. Finally, Playground Games said that PlayStation 5 owners who want to play the game can expect Forza Horizon 6 to land on the Japanese console later this year.
