Cyberpunk 2077 has now sold over 35 million copies since launch, CD Projekt RED confirms.
CD Projekt RED's first-person role-playing game Cyberpunk 2077 has now crossed 35 million copies, the company shared on Wednesday. As part of the publisher's Q3 2025 presentation, CD Projekt RED revealed the latest sales milestone for Cyberpunk 2077, sharing that the game has sold an additional five million copies since November 2024. CD Projekt RED did not share an update on the game's Phantom Liberty expansion, which was confirmed to have sold 10 million copies as of May earlier this year.
Cyberpunk 2077 is actually the second game from CD Projekt RED to pass this milestone, with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt passing 30 million copies sold back in April 2021.The third entry in the saga has since passed many more milestones, reaching 60 million copies sold earlier in 2025, just in time for The Witcher 3's 10th anniversary.

As part of the presentation, CD Projekt RED also shared that the team working on a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 has grown to 135 developers, up from the 96 team members working on the project back in May, when it officially entered pre-production.
CD Projekt RED intends for this team to continue staffing up significantly, with plans to have just over 300 developers on the Cyberpunk sequel by 2027. This team will be spread across the publisher's Boston, Vancouver, and Warsaw studios.
By far the bulk of CD Projekt RED's workforce continues to be on The Witcher 4, with 447 developers currently contributing to the upcoming title. This game is meant to be the start of a new trilogy, with Ciri stepping into the role of main protagonist as a new Witcher.
56 developers are also working on Project Sirius, a multiplayer Witcher spinoff game. Finally, a small team is also working on Hadar, a completely new IP that's still extremely far off.
It'll be a while before we learn more about The Witcher 4 and the next Cyberpunk game, but one last update is on the way for The Witcher 3, with mod support coming to the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 console versions of the game at some point next year.
A new season of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is also coming, with CD Projekt RED once again teaming up with Studio Trigger and Netflix.
