EA is almost ready to bring the fourth season of content to Battlefield 6, and alongside the major additions like naval gameplay and the biggest map yet, it has also announced the game's first crossover event. The Top Gun crew (minus Tom Cruise) is coming to Battlefield 6, bringing the F-18/Super Hornet, F-14 Tomcat aircraft, as well as fresh modes.

"Three characters from Top Gun come to life in-game, fully voiced by their original performers: Lt. Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw (Miles Teller), Lt. Robert “Bob” Floyd (Lewis Pullman), Adm. Solomon “Warlock” Bates (Charles Parnell), with Top Gun-inspired character skins and cosmetics available in-game," confirmed EA today for its hit shooter.

“Jets. Adrenaline. The drive to be the best. Battlefield’s unmatched sense of scale is the perfect way to bring Top Gun’s iconic and cinematic aerial combat to life,” says Ryan McArthur, Battlefield 6 executive producer. “We can’t wait for our players to experience the update when it hits on August 18, but our collaboration is also just a piece of Battlefield 6’s biggest season yet.”

However, that's just phase one of Battlefield 6 Season 4. The second phase will begin on August 18, introducing the aforementioned Top Gun crossover content while also bringing back the iconic map Wake Island into the mix. Lastly, Phase 4 will begin on September 15, bringing more events and rewards for naval gameplay, ending the season.
