The rumored specifications for the AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT, 7700 XT, 7600 XT, 7600 XT and 7600 GPU have leaked. The RX 7800 XT graphics card targets RX 6950 XT level performance.

Few months ago, AMD announced and released Radeon RX 7900 XTX and RX 7900 XT graphics cards.

While the flagship AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX performs as fast as Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080, the RX 7900 XT is somewhere in the middle between RTX 4070 Ti and 4080.

Since then, we haven’t heard much about the other cards in the RX 7000 series, until now.

    Navi 32 & 33 Specs Leak

Famous YouTube based leaker RedGamingTech has revealed the information about the specs of the AMD Navi 32 and 33 GPUs. These two GPUs are expected to power RX 7800, 7700 XT, 7600 XT and 7500 series graphics cards.

Firstly. He reveals how the Navi 32 GPU cuts the GPU’s GCD size from 300mm found in Navi 31 GPU of RX 7900 XTX and RX 7900 XT graphics cards to just 200mm.

The fully enabled Navi 32 GPU, which is expected to power AMD Radeon 7800 XT, is expected to have max 30 Work Group Processors (WGP), which means 60 Compute Units (CU). This again is a cut from 48 WGP and 96 CU found in N31. It is expected to come with 16GB GDDR6 VRAM with a 256-bit memory bus. The 7800 XT is going to come with a TBP of 285W.

It is going to target AMD Radeon RX 6950 XT performance but is said to be not as fast as Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti.

RedGamingTech reveals that it will have 4 MCDs vs the 6 MCDs found in Navi 31. MCD, to those not aware, are new chiplet based cache chips installed directly near the GCD, which is the main GPU graphics core. As 7900 XTX had 6 MCDs with 96 MB cache. Navi 32 is going to come with max 64MB cache.

    AMD Radeon 7700 XT Specs

The AMD Radeon 7700 XT, on the other hand, while using the same Navi 32 GPU, is going to cut the specs. It will have 27 WGP and 54 CU. Furthermore, it will come with 12GB VRAM with 192-bit memory bus. It will have 48MB cache and will have a 225W TBP. The AMD Radeon 7700 XT is expected to compete with the unreleased Nvidia RTX 4060 Ti graphic card.

He says that there’s some confusion whether the Radeon 7700 XT will come with 27 WGP / 54 CU, as 27 WGP is an odd number. It’s possible, he says, that it could come with 26 WGP / 52 CU instead.

    AMD Navi 33

It is revealed that the Navi 33 is expected to power AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT, RX 7600 (non-XT) and RX 7500 (possibly).

RedGamingTech reveals that while Navi 31 and 32 came with chiplet based GPU, the Navi 33 is expected to use a more conventional approach. It is expected that the Navi 33 is going to be a usual monolithic GPU without any extra MCD chiplets and the total size is expected to be near the size of a GCD of Navi 32.

He also reveals that the Navi 33 GPU is going to be similar to the mobile Navi 33 series and will carry over a lot of specifications from the mobile to the desktop GPU, except with higher power usage allowance.

Interestingly, the Navi 33 could use a cut-down version of PCIe (4.0). It’s expected to use x8 lanes instead of x16 lanes usually found in graphics cards. So if Navi 33 GPU supports PCIe 4.0 x8 lanes, it will run like a PCIe 3.0 x16 graphics card.

However, RedGamingTech correctly says that it is unlikely to fill up the PCIe bandwidth. As we have mentioned before, there’s hardly any difference in real performance between these two. The problem, however, happens, when one inserts this graphics card in a PCIe 3.0 slot. Then it will perform like PCIe 2.0 x16 instead, which can cause big performance issues.

AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT and 7600 Specs

The AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT is expected to come with 16 WGPs and 32 CUs. It will come with 32MB of cache. RX 7600 XT will have 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM at the speed of 18Gbps.

The AMD Radeon RX 7600 (non-XT) on the other hand, will come with 14 WGPs and 28 CUs. It will have 32MB cache, just like the XT version. Also, again, just like the XT version, RX 7600 non-XT will have 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM. However, it will run at 16Gbps instead.

AMD Radeon RX 7500 Could Be Canceled

RedGamingTech reveals that AMD Radeon RX 7500 could come with 12 WGPs and 24 CUs. It will come with 24MB cache and will feature just 6GB of GDDR6 VRAM running at 16Gbps.

However, interestingly, he reveals AMD could cancel the Radeon RX 7500 graphics card for the desktop altogether. Why, one might ask. Because AMD is putting a lot of efforts on the AMD Ryzen APUs, which are CPUs with lower powered graphics chip (GPU) combined. One feels that an APU is going to be better in marketing than a full-fledged, lower powered graphics card.

The above is something we personally disagree as there’s always a room for cheaper graphics cards. Just look at how the Nvidia GTX 1650 graphics card still remains one of the highest selling graphics card in poorer countries. Also, we have doubts whether APUs have really become powerful enough to take on a RX 7500 specs level graphics card.

However, he says it all depends on what Nvidia and others (Intel) are going to do.

    Launch Date And Performance

He says that Navi 32 and 33 based graphics cards would be possibly announced in Computex, which is in the later part of May this year. The launch date would be in around July, but can get delayed to Q3 of this year. With so many price cuts happening for the RX 6000 series, it’s a question within the AMD whether to launch it later, but with Nvidia launching so many mid-gen cards soon, AMD has no option but follow them.

As far as the performance and specs are concerned, driver quality and silicon being used when considering the targets are in testing phase. It could mean that all the specs and even model numbers mentioned above could change slightly moving forward.

    Rumored Specs Table

We have made a specification table for the above rumored specs revealed by RedGamingTech. This to make it easier for everyone to understand things.

    RX 7800 XTX

If the above rumor is not enough, there’s a new graphics card being rumored. After the posting of the above video, information about another graphics card has been shared by RedGamingTech.

In a tweet, he reveals that after some finding, it seems that AMD could be working on a 7800 XTX graphics card. It seems that AMD, just like what Nvidia did before the launch of RTX 4090, is trying a lot of things.

It can mean that the above-mentioned models can change numbers. Possibly to justify any increase in prices.

In all. The above specs matter a lot, but the biggest thing that matters is how AMD prices them.

Cheaper Nvidia Cards To Get More VRAM And Intel Battlemage

Later Revisions Of Nvidia RTX 4060 & 4050 Could Come With More VRAM And Intel Battlemage To Use Dual-Issue System. Credit: RedGamingTech

Now something which is expected but not confirmed yet. RedGamingTech also revealed that the cheaper Nvidia graphics cards, namely RTX 4060 and 4050, which are yet to launch and are expected to come with low amounts of VRAM, could later launch with different versions with an increased amount of VRAM. However, the specs are going to be the same.

Another rumor is coming up that Intel’s next-gen graphics cards, named Arc Battlemage, could use a dual-issue system. Something which is similar to what RDNA3 (AMD RX 7000 series) has.
