The packaging for the alleged upcoming GeForce RTX 3090 Ti, Nvidia's flagship card for the Ampere generation has leaked. The image below apparently shows an ASUS TUF GeForce RTX 3090 Ti retail package which seems to be housing a triple-fan 3090 Ti graphics card.

Rumors for this behemoth started flying around back in August, though, at that time, it was rumored that the GPU will be called the RTX 3090 SUPER. The card will reportedly feature the full GA102 die and that means it will pack 10,752 CUDA cores, whereas the RTX 3090 comes with 10,496. The new 3090 Ti is rumored to have the device ID "GA102-350".

In terms of VRAM, the 3090 Ti will also feature 24GB of GDDR6X VRAM, just like the RTX 3090, however, the memory speed will purportedly be higher at 21Gbps compared to the 3090's 19.5Gbps.

If it does turn out to be true that the RTX 3090 Ti does indeed come with 21Gbps memory, the additional bandwidth could help the upcoming flagship in gaining some ground ahead of the RTX 3090, at least at very high resolutions.

That's because the CUDA core count difference between the 3090 Ti and 3090 is too little (<3%). However, the additional ~7.7% bandwidth could help at 4K or higher since the bandwidth is generally helpful at high pixel counts.

The RTX 3090 Ti is expected to be shown off at the CES 2022 on the 5th of January.
