Over a week ago, Microsoft released two new Windows 11 preview builds for Windows Insiders in the Release Preview Channel. These updates for Windows 11 versions 24H2 and 25H2 brought quite a lot of improvements and new features for Copilot+ PCs and regular devices. Now, Microsoft has another pair of updates to complement the previous two. This time, builds 26100.7309 and 26200.7309 are rolling out in the Release Preview Channel.
The latest Release Preview Channel builds do not have dedicated changelogs. Instead, Microsoft claims these updates only contain "minor changes," with nothing specific in the release notes. Therefore, you will have to figure it out on your own and report findings to Microsoft using the Feedback Hub.
If you are updating from older builds, there will be quite a lot of stuff to try. For example, more Control Panel elements made their way to the Settings app, Microsoft restored the taskbar animations, and File Explorer finally supports proper dark mode across more common UI elements. For Copilot+ PCs, Microsoft enabled Windows Studio Effects on external cameras, brought more Click to Do improvements, and improved the Settings agent. Make sure to check out the full release notes here.
Meanwhile, the updated announcement post is available on the official Windows Blogs website.
