Windows XP's Bliss wallpaper is undoubtedly the most famous desktop background. Even those who are not familiar with Windows PCs know this famous image with lush green hills and deep blue sky. Over two decades ago, it debuted as the stock Windows XP background, and the rest is history.

Over time, Microsoft moved away from Windows XP's green hills to more abstract wallpapers in Windows Vista and Windows 7. While Windows 10's wallpaper was a unique project (did you know that that image is a photo, not a render?), Windows 11 went back to abstract wallpapers. We have already seen plenty of alterations of the stock Bloom wallpaper (even Microsoft has quite a few takes on it), but what about a mix with Windows XP's Bliss?

A Reddit user u/Left_Hovercraft451 published two images of Bloom fused together with Bliss. Windows XP's iconic green hills and blue skies blend into creases of Windows 11's flower (or fabric, depending on how you look at it), creating quite an interesting wallpaper. Of course, it does look like AI-made, but the result still looks pretty and unique, preserving the spirit and feel of both operating systems and their stock wallpapers. Additionally, there is a light and dark variant:

Unfortunately, the OP has not published higher-resolution originals of their creation, so the images above are upscaled to a better resolution. If you want to get the original, head to this Reddit thread, where people are already nagging the OP to publish high-resolution originals (to no avail so far).

Do you link this remix of Windows XP's Bliss and Windows 11's Bloom? Share your thoughts in the comments.
