In addition to a new update for the 12-inch Surface Pro, Microsoft's most affordable consumer tablet, the company pushed new firmware for the Surface Pro 10, its business-focused Windows tablet. The latest release addresses security vulnerabilities in NPU and Wi-Fi software, fixes camera instabilities, slow Wi-Fi performance, and more. The update is packed with important changes, so if you have a Surface Pro 10 (non-5G variant), make sure to download it now.

    Here is the changelog:

    • Security:
      • Addresses potential security vulnerabilities related to Intel® PROSet/Wireless WiFi Software Advisory INTEL-SA-01398 that may allow denial of service.
      • Addresses a potential NPU security vulnerability that may allow an attacker to load malicious code.
    • Reliability:
      • Fixes an issue that causes camera instability.
      • Addresses an issue that may require reset and recovery while the device is in the disconnected standby power-saving mode.
    • Performance and usability:
      • Fixes an issue that causes slow Wi-Fi performance even when the device is close to a wireless access point.
      • Resolves an issue that results in devices using low-power Wi-Fi levels in some countries instead of the country-specific power levels.
