There are plenty of apps that can help you work around Windows 11's strict hardware requirements that are not going anywhere. And with Windows 10 being less than three months away from the end of life, the question of updating unsupported PCs becomes more relevant than before. If you think of updating your unsupported Windows 10 PC to Windows 11, say to try its recently introduced features or some of the upcoming ones, Flyby11 is one app that can help you do that. And with its latest update, it received some important fixes and a new way to download Windows 11 images.

Flyby11 is a simple tool that is available on GitHub. It can patch Windows images and perform in-place upgrades using the Windows Server method, which skips most hardware requirements. It can bypass TPM 2.0, SecureBoot, and processor checks, giving your old PC a new life. If you already have a Windows image, you can drag and drop it to Flyby11 to patch it. If not, the app can download the necessary image for you. With version 3.0, it uses the Media Creation Tool as a source, which matches your Windows 10 edition and language. Other download options include the official Microsoft website and Fido.

Other improvements in the Flyby11 app include improved ISO mounting with PowerShell for more reliable drive detection, improved bypass parameter handling for /Compat IgnoreWarning /MigrateDrivers All, Hungarian language support, and some fixes and improvements for the Japanese localization.

You can download Flyby11 from its GitHub repository for free. Since it is a third-party patching tool, you should consider the risks of altering your Windows image. If using a third-party app is not an option, you can consider using a method described in our "How to install Windows 11 24H2 on unsupported hardware" guide.
