The Microsoft Store features apps both from Microsoft itself as well as those from third-party developers. To recognize well-made apps out there, Microsoft is inviting nominations today and has released a form where you can nominate your favorite apps on the Store. This nomination, though, is only for third-party applications and if you had a few first-party Microsoft apps in mind, for now at least, you'll have to make do by praising them on the Store's review section.
Microsoft has a set a criteria up for apps to be eligible for the nomination.
To quality, the app:
- Must be publicly listed in the Microsoft Store on Windows in at least one market by end of March
- Must have 100% functionality on Windows 11, not just on Windows 10
- Must have 3.5 star or higher rating with at least 50 ratings entries
- Must have been published or received significant meaningful updates over the past 12 months
If you think the apps you wish to nominate fulfill the above criteria, you can fill out the form provided by Microsoft at this link: https://forms.office.com/r/vREn1vJxcw
Multiple app nominations are also allowed but for that, separate forms for each app must be filled. You can submit your nominees till 12:00 a.m. PT on March 31. Also bear in mind that this is only a nomination form and not a voting form. That might be released later but so far there is no official word on it.
