All known Windows 11 bugs have been resolved, according to the official documentation.
According to Microsoft, Windows 11 now has zero open issues and bugs. No, that is not shameless clickbait. The official documentation where Microsoft tracks open bugs and known issues has all problems now marked as resolved. Moreover, Windows 11 version 26H1, a special release for Snapdragon X2-based devices, never had any at all.
Having all known bugs resolved is a notable change for the current Windows 11 version. Released in late 2024, Windows 11 version 24H2 (and 25H2, which is based on the same platform) shipped with a big laundry list of various issues, blocking bugs, and other problems. Over the next year and a half, Microsoft has been steadily fixing those, removing one known bug after another.
The most recent bugs Microsoft fixed in Windows 11 versions 24H2 and 25H2 include big issues, such as broken access to drive C on certain PCs, sign-in issues in Microsoft apps, and more.
Of course, that does not mean Windows 11 is now perfect. In fact, Microsoft is only starting to “fix” Windows 11. Last month, Microsoft announced its plan to address the most popular user requests, fix Windows Update, improve the taskbar and Start menu, and more. Some of those changes are about to materialize in upcoming Windows 11 preview builds. Also, there are other bugs and issues that Microsoft is not aware of, so the update in the documentation only applies to the officially confirmed hiccups.
Another thing worth noting is that new issues may appear at any moment. Next week, Microsoft ships this month’s Patch Tuesday updates, and a new bug could show up for Microsoft to confirm. Until then, users can enjoy a no-issues state, which also means more customers can upgrade to the latest releases.
Speaking of updates, Microsoft recently notified users that Windows 11 version 25H2 is rolling out to PCs with Windows 11 version 24H2. The latter is now approaching its end of support, giving Microsoft a reason to update your system without your permission.
