Microsoft now lets you restyle images in Paint

In addition to releasing a new Windows 11 build for those on version 23H2 in the Release Preview Channel, Microsoft introduced a fresh update for Paint. Version 11.2509.441.0 brings more AI-powered features to the app.

The main highlight of the update is the Restyle feature. As the name suggests, it lets you reimagine your current picture with a different style. For example, you can turn a photo into Pop art. You can access the Restyle feature from the Copilot menu on the toolbar. Once opened in a sidebar, select the style you want and click "Generate." After that, Paint will let you copy the generated image, save it as a separate file, or insert it onto the current canvas.

Here is what Microsoft says about it in the announcement post:

In this update we are introducing Restyle, an AI-powered feature that lets you transform the art style of images on the canvas. To get started, open Paint and select the Restyle option from the Copilot menu. Choose from a preset list of styles and select the Generate button. Once the restyled images are generated, you can click on the Add to canvas button, copy, or save it for later use.

The Restyle feature is now rolling out to all Windows Insiders in the Canary, Dev, and Beta Channels on Windows 11. Do not expect this feature on Windows 10, though, as the operating system is now unsupported and no longer receiving any updates outside the Extended Security Updates program.
