Microsoft has released yet another OOB emergency update on Windows 11 25H2, 24H2 LTSC, this time it's to fix broken Bluetooth.
A few days ago, Microsoft released an emergency OOB (out-of-band) update, KB5084597, which was to patch a critical network security vulnerability. Following that, today the company has published yet another OOB update, this time to fix broken Bluetooth which affects the visibility of Bluetooth devices since the Bluetooth settings do not appear on the Windows 11 Settings page or the Quick Settings menu on the Action Center panel.
Same as the last one, the new update is out for hotpatch-configured Windows 11 25H2 and 24H2 systems running Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC 2024. The release notes for the new KB5084897 update says:
"[Bluetooth] Fixed: This update addresses an issue where Bluetooth devices may not appear on the 'Bluetooth & devices' page in 'Windows Settings' or in 'Quick Settings', even if the devices are connected and functioning as expected. This issue could also prevent users from adding new devices because available devices did not appear in the list for connection."
You can find the support article here on Microsoft's official site. The update will be downloaded and installed automatically on hotpatch-enabled enterprise devices, the company notes.
