Microsoft already shared everything new it added to Excel in the month of August 2025, and now, it is time for Teams to receive the same treatment. Those who follow this news stream know that the changelog for Teams is comparatively lengthier due to it covering multiple use-cases despite primarily being an online communication and collaboration platform.

On the chat and collaboration front, there are new filters in the search experience allowing you to quickly narrow down exactly what you need rather than scrolling through long lists of results. In the same vein, you can also search more efficiently using SQL-like commands and keywords. Keyboard shortcuts can be customized, messages can be saved and later expanded to the full view, and you can react to messages with multiple emoji rather than just using a single one to express your reaction.

There are lots of improvements in meetings, webinars, and town halls too. Teams Premium users can create and customize meeting templates for more productivity, manage what attendees see when they join town halls, and manage immersive 3D events. In addition, Teams admins can now upload custom dictionaries for their tenants, organizers can send one-way messages to attendees in the lobby through the chat, and all Teams users can configure their display names to custom nicknames or their role.

Moreover, the following devices are now Teams-certified:

    • EPOS IMPACT 100 MS Stereo and Mono USB-C+A headsets
    • Logitech Rally Board 65 + Tap for Teams Rooms on Android (wired)
    • Yealink MeetingBar A50 with Touch Panel CTP25
    • Logitech Entry Level MeetUp 2 for Teams Rooms on Windows

Also, admins have access to more logs for screensharing. That's not all, though. There are many other improvements available for frontline worker solutions, Teams Phone, and Teams Rooms. You can find out more information about these changes in the detailed change log here.
