Get rid of viruses on Windows

Recommended Posts

First download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, HiJackThis and CCleaner.

Got them collected

Site: Rapidshare

Share code: /files/206607607/Virusborttagningsprogrampack.rar

Install Anti-Malware and update it then run fast scan. When the scan is done click show results then delete all the files, if it says you have to reboot to remove some of the files click yes and reboot then scan again if it was removed.

If that didn't do it go open up HiJackThis and do a system scan (log file only needed if you gonna post it on www.hijackthis.de to see what is good and what's not). Check up the ones you don't recognise on google or check the log file on www.hijackthis.de then mark those the bad stuff and click fix.

Now to finish up with CCleaner, install and run file scan then registry scan (this part isn't crucial but can do your windows installation and hdd good if you havn't done it for some time. Then you can check the autostart programs in tools.

*Speaking for the average user

It would be best to post the HiJackThis log on the actual site instead

of trying to sort out whats good & whats not yourself. I tried myself

in my noobular days & I ended up deleting some critical things. Let

the pros handle it til you can safely say you know what you're doing.

Just a suggestion. Heed my words or not I just wanted to put that out there ;)

Deleting critical things is what I always do as well, really funny ;) You learn the most from fucking up and fixing it afterwards, but that doesn't say it's the best option :P

Oh well that was just a last resort if Mbam didn't took care of it. Also if that doesn't help many anti-virus websites has free online scan but that's only with ActiveX so in IE ;)

EDIT: Intresting shought what have you deleted then?

Gotcha. I think I would do it in reverse tho. Scan for a log, do MB', if some

malware is still there then go post the log on the site.

Well didn't think like that buit yeah it should work but I HJT was just the second option if the first (Mbam) fails.

I was just saying the way I would do it. There's nothing wrong

with the way you do it, I like giving different perspectives thats all.
