Though the fix (no i wont call it a crack patch or whatever :wacko: ) seems to work out, i have some bad feelings;

when you update the first time after installing the fix, it ' updates' by downloading a 8014 kb update no matter what version of signature base or what so ever, have a look here;

I havent figured out yet what exactly it is updating, it certainly aint just virus signatures.

It was made by "TemDono" a guy from Brasil.- "TemDono" means "Has Owner". And who is the owner .....ESET !

Mine says : Trial version,15368 days left (till year 2050) .(on 8th.Jan.2008)

Works on ESS v3.0621 and Nod32 AV 3.0.621. I use WinXP Professional 32bits.

I saw several guys saying it doesn`t work on windows 64 bits.

Also, don`t know for sure, if it lasts more than 1 month because it`s a trial version.

Anyway, you don`t need username and password and UPDATES AUTOMATICALLY EVERYDAY.

If you don`t know from where to download ESET 3.0.621, go to www.softexia.com , look at the left part of your monitor-screen and then at CATEGURIES MENU, click- Anti-Virus - and choose ESET Smart Security or ESET AV 3.0.621 .

The reason it updates like that is because the virus definitions are from 2740 so its normal. Right now they are at 2791. The reason its so old is because wherever that version came from had older definitions. Even if you found one that was one week old it would have older definitions. There is nothing wrong with how it updates fyi.

hullo guys. i'm just curious whether TemDono fix is what everyone is waiting for.. you know. since last year i've been using nod32 2.7 (with fix of course) and waiting a looong time for ver.3. and as the latest version has been released, i still waited patiently for the fix. yes i've installed ver.3 before as i was too excited to try the latest version. i think the latest version is cool! but eventually had to revert back to 2.7 coz i cant update the definition (same case with a lot of ppl here).

well, i would to know the experts' point of view here bout TemDono fix. no disrespect to the creator of the fix. coz i think he's a genius. but it's just there's not much comments from others bout this fix and i would like to know whether it's ok to use this fix with eset current version or should i stick with 2.7 for a while..

Why are ppl knocking the TemDono fix, its working.

If you just install the NOD32 trial (32 bits) and then use the fix, the trial period gets extended, like TemDono intended. So it works.

naaa..it's not becoz of bad files. i'm using AMD Turion X2. some said that my current laptop model is not stable. i dunno why HP released this kind of lappy though. i feel cheated

My notebook was alone downloading torrents... Then I sit down at my desk and saw an error on ekrn.exe:

"..memory can't be read ...bla.bla...." :)

The first time I clicked OK --> pc full locked --> I had to push OFF and restart..

The second time I clicked Cancel --> same..

The third time I had a Nod red alert by a trojan in svchost.exe ---> I choosed Disconnect 6-7 times.. :badmood:

Any idea??

I have no problem with TemDono Fix either, been using it for about 2 weeks! You could try to re-install Nod32! It might be corrupted!
