Hi, can you help me please. It doesn't seem to work for me. I start the activator, it tells me it has been activated, but when I open the program
it asks me to enter a password. I tried to enter something random, but it doesn't work.

Thank you.

There is no "config.ini" file in the DVDFab Player installation folder.

Ok. I understand where it is. I found it, I entered the string you suggested, but unlike you where your name is written (xanax), I write Trial User. Why?

@xanax This activator almost immediately disappears, it doesn't ask you for your name or anything and it doesn't register dvdfab player, it still says trial user.

almost immediately disappears?

it doesn't register dvdfab? do you mean dvdfab player 6?

still say trial because license file and registry entries are not at the place where they need to be

OS? AV? something doesn't allowing script to do what need to do

yes dvdfab media player 6.1.0.9, the window appears for a split second then closes. Running windows 10 20h2 home x64 and i tried with kaspersky antivirus enabled and with kaspersky and windows defender disabled, it still won't register.

i already tried running it as admin, made no difference. Is there no way to make some log file code in your script so that you can see what is going wrong?

it says dvdfab player 6 hasn't been authorised on this computer yet. I tried putting in an email and a password but it wouldn't authorize. Program is still in trial mode.

Lets try this,  start over

1)  disconnect internet

2)  install dvdfab player

3) on destop screen, right click on the dvdfab icon

does it look like this

"C:\Program Files (x86)\DVDFab\Player 6\DVDFab Player 6.exe"

4)If so the close that screen, So far so good

5)  Open "file explorer"  add checkmark to "show hidden files"

6)go to C:\Users\XXXXXXXXX\AppData\Roaming\DVDFab\DVDFab Player 6\regRecord

7)add file called "localuse.rec" to folder called "regRecord"

8)righclick on "localuse.rec"  does it show "read only"  if not add a check mark there then click "apply THEN click "Ok"

9) Close "file explorer"

10) double click on "64-bit" file (it's a registry file). Windows will ask if your sure, click "ok"

11) close everything out

12) open dvdfab player and pick a movie to try out.  if it plays your good, then close out  Open settings from top right side.  disable check updates and disable join customer experience, click ok and close out

13) In windows firewall block dvdfab player.exe from going online. <-----also block dvdfab player sever too.  Comodo popped this up on computer restart

14) Connect internet your done

extra clarification to make it click by click, added another file to block going online

UPDATE: I had some windows settings changed to run a different program.

These are the 2 settings that i previously manually enabled:

bcdedit /set TESTSIGNING ON
bcdedit /set nointegritychecks on

I switched them both off and that let me register the program using the localuse.rec and .reg file you sent me, the .cmd version of the crack didn't work for me, only the .rec and .reg method.

This works, but it has exactly the same problem as your previous 5.x activator version: after a few executions (I didn't count them, but let's say around 15-20), the program's license will get expired.

Running the activator each time after that happens will be needed to keep it working.

Hi, I just tried to play from an "ISO" image using the contextual menu, and I got the expiration message:

Once again, re-applying your fix makes the program keeps working. And if I remember correctly, registering it with a full email address

instead just any bogus data, make its activation last longer.

By the way, with the previous version (19/05) of the fix, I was having some issues regarding opening BD's folders and ISO images from

the contextual menu; the program will just crash all times. Nevertheless, since loading the folders/images via drag and drop still worked

fine and after trying it on another system using the contextual menu also worked normally, I thought the problem was specific to my main

system. But with the last activator, that issue somehow was fixed.
