erp-ster0 358
hopefully when I get a chance to install 9071 HDA FF00 on my relative's Dell Inspiron 580 computer (probably after New Year's Day 2021), it won't crash into a BSOD like what 9057 FF00 did on there funkyy

Pete 12 2,658
9071 clear sound , the bass , however, too soft and very less punchy compared with previous 9057 ! So , will stay at 9057, untill real better appears........... Edited December 31, 2020 by Pete 12 Dahaka, akks-mtb, funkyy and 1 other 3

I have an old Gigabyte board with Realtek ALC892 with hardware ID "HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0892&SUBSYS_1458A182" and 9071 FF00 works well on it. so it works with ANY and ALL variations of ALC892 from different board makers and on well known brand PCs like ASUS, Lenovo, HP, MSI, etc. DEV_0892 = ALC892 edit - I will try out 9071 FF00 on my other PCs after the New Year 2021 holidays including my bedroom HP desktop PC using ALC888S Edited December 31, 2020 by erp-ster0 funkyy

I barely noticed the "softer" bass sounds on my Gigabyte board using ALC892 when using either 9071 HDA FF00 or 9071 UAD [the Gigabyte board can use either HDA FFxx or UAD driver] I did not have the bass sound problem on my old HP desktop PC that has Realtek ALC888S and on my dad's Toshiba laptop using Realtek ALC269 edit 1/14/2021 v6.0.9071.1 from MS Update (now has both HDA & UAD versions available, UAD driver posted 1/9/2021): https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=6.0.9071.1 Edited Friday at 05:13 AM by erp-ster0
