jalaffa
How long does this beta last?I heard its like a 30-day trialThe Beta will stop working on August 1, 2009. To continue using your PC, please be prepared to reinstall a prior version of Windows or a subsequent release of Windows 7 before the expiration date. You won’t be able to upgrade from the Beta to the final retail version of Windows 7.This is with a beta key. Which is easy to get now. The limit of 2.5 million keys given seem to have been lifted due to the problems Microsoft had with distribution yesterday. From the MS blog:I know many of you are concerned about getting a product key for the Windows 7 Beta and concerned about missing your chance to get a product key. I can't say much on this just yet but I will say you this: don't worry. :-)
Marik
well I'm sure that when they do release the final version, someone will leak the download links :)
jalaffa
The keys given by Microsoft are not unique...These are posted on the net now (I see mine there):Windows 7 Beta 64-bit Product Key7XRCQ-RPY28-YY9P8-R6HD8-84GH3JYDV8-H8VXG-74RPT-6BJPB-X42V4482XP-6J9WR-4JXT3-VBPP6-FQF4MJYDV8-H8VXG-74RPT-6BJPB-X42V4D9RHV-JG8XC-C77H2-3YF6D-RYRJ9Windows 7 Beta 32-bit Product Key6JKV2-QPB8H-RQ893-FW7TM-PBJ73TQ32R-WFBDM-GFHD2-QGVMH-3P9GCGG4MQ-MGK72-HVXFW-KHCRF-KW6KY4HJRK-X6Q28-HWRFY-WDYHJ-K8HDHQXV7B-K78W2-QGPR6-9FWH9-KGMM7

jalaffa
no one ever said they were uniquethere are...well there were 2,5 million keys microsoft was giving out...after they are exhausted, microsoft will stop giving themHmm - I don't get that 2,5 million keys part  10 keys are all I see  And for sure they will all be accepted by any number of users (that 2,5 million limit is just silly)
Marik
yeah I know.....i don't even know why they struggle that hard...when all the users are only going to use 2-5 keys out of all those 2,5 millions
jalaffa
It could be that they have set a limit to how many downloads that are permitted for the iso. Dunno. I am still not able to download it via the official channels (me following the procedure of registering and confirming my e-mail etc.). The Download Now link gives nothing. They really messed up this beta release thing. No big deal for me - but if you look at the Windows 7 blog - you have people staying up all night to get it
