  1. Microsoft confirms Cortana for iOS and Android killed off everywhere except USA, reveals when Surface Buds are coming Speaking to VentureBeat, Microsoft’s Andrew Shuman, the successor to Javier Soltero and Corporate Vice President for Cortana, confirmed that Cortana for iOS and Android would be withdrawn from all international markets except USA. Microsoft has previously announced that the app will no longer be supported in only 8 countries, Australia, Canada, China, Germany, India, Mexico, Spain, and the U.K. Microsoft said the US would be an exception for two reasons – one to
  2. A new version of the Waterfox web browser for Google's Android operating system has been released that improves privacy significantly. A new version of the Waterfox web browser for Google's Android operating system has been released. The developer of Waterfox released a first public version of Waterfox for Android in 2017. The new version is available on Google Play and soon also on the alternative marketplace for Android applications F-Droid. The developer of Waterfox, Alex Kontos, released the new Android version of the web browser with big privacy improvem
  3. Bargain basement pricing with flagship-level update support. Fresh off an announcement last month, HMD's Nokia 3.1 is coming to America. Starting July 2nd, you'll be able to buy the US version of the Nokia 3.1 for $159 from Amazon, Best Buy and B&H. With a price like that, the Nokia 3.1 is definitely on the low end of the spectrum, but like the rest of Nokia's phone lineup, this one stands out thanks to its build of stock Android, an emphasis on software updates, and for being one of the few low-end or mid-range phones that don't feel like shovelware. On
  4. An expert in Android security is warning users that some developers of crappy Android apps have come up with a new trick for fooling users into installing their apps. The trick relies on app devs registering Google Play Store developer accounts that mimic install counts, instead of their real name, such as "1 million installs," Installs 1,000,000," "100,000,000 Downloads," "5,000,000+," "1,000,000,000" and other similar formats. The idea is that the official Google Play Store lists an app entry by displaying the app's icon, name, developer name, and a star rating.
  5. Google has officially launched Android 9.0, publicly confirming the name for the next version of its mobile OS is Pie. Now that the suspense is over, we’re already thinking about 2019. Unless something changes drastically, Google will launch Android 10.0 Q a year from now. What will the next major Android update’s name be? Historically, Google has used the names of desserts, candy, treats, or cookies as the official codenames for big Android updates. The letter “Q” doesn’t offer many options if Google sticks to sweets, but it’s got a few names to pick from for Android 10.0 Q when t
  6. Google had recently announced that it will allow the app developers who have placed their paid apps for sale on the Google Play store to host a free sale on their app as a part of a promotional activity for a limited period of time. This means that you could actually get the app you have got your eyes on for some time for free, no strings attached. As awesome as this offer sounds, unfortunately, an app could go on a free sale only for a limited period of time, and it is next to impossible to exactly find and download such apps among the myriad of apps available in the Goog
  7. It’s no secret now that some Android apps are killing your battery. These apps keep working in the background all the time, even when you aren’t using them. They’re pinging the internet and using motion sensors, all of it sucking the battery’s life. While several apps do this, some are far worse than others. The biggest leeches are often some of the most popular apps. We can also now identify these apps thanks to research conducted by mobile carriers, antivirus makers Avast and AVG, and tech enthusiasts. Here are the worst apps that drain battery on Android devices. 1. Sn

  12. Since Google had acquired Android in 2005, things have surely changed, from phone looks to the nature of the applications. Perhaps only a few can remember the first generation of Android games. Over the time, the obsession of Android based games may come and go, but as far as the antiviruses are concerned, they still remain most popular types of apps in android. It has long been argued that who exactly needs an antivirus? Well, you don’t need one if you are already playing it safe. Downloading apps only from the Play Store, and keeping your security settings on. However, it is
  13. The one thing that makes Android superior than other operating system is the level of customizability it offers to its users. Any file can be configured. Its open nature has encouraged a big community of developers to use the open-source code and add new features for advanced users or bring Android to devices build with other operating systems. That’s the reason it has the largest installed base of any operating system. What exactly is Build.prop? Build.prop is short for Build Properties. 21. Benefits of Rooting Android Devices and a How To Root without a Computer To root or not to root? 23. The Android application neutriNote is a powerful note taking application that supports math (LaTeX), rich markdown, and drawings among other things. Many Android devices come with basic note taking functionality, and a new application needs to offer something that these default applications don't offer to stand a chance. The free application neutriNote does that, but is still easy enough to use for basic note taking without all the fancy stuff added to it. The application is free, does not have advertisement or a premium version that it requires users to purchase to get a
